Quelle quantité de riz devrait être consommée dans le régime alimentaire d'un bébé afin d'éviter les effets nocifs de l'arsenic?

yes, but… yes, but…

Basmati rice, parboiled rice, brown rice, black rice, red rice, wholegrain rice

You can give me rice as soon as you start expanding my diet, but it should be consumed in moderation due to the presence of arsenic. Rice, compared to other cereals, absorbs more (even 10-20 times more) arsenic from the environment. This applies to both ecological and conventional crops. Arsenic is an element which is present naturally in water, air, and soil, from which it's absorbed by some plants during their growth. It has been classified as a carcinogen. Its harmful effects apply to those people who consume it in large amounts in their diet. We're in no danger, mom :)

Avantages

Rice is a rich source of vitamins such as vitamin D, riboflavin, and thiamine. Moreover, it contains many minerals such as calcium and iron, as well as fibre. It has a beneficial effect on our nervous system and soothes allergies.

Quel type de pâtes convient aux bébés qui commencent juste leur expansion alimentaire?

yes yes

Penne, fusilli, tagiatelle, spaghetti, macaroni, farfalle, durum pasta, wholegrain pasta, egg noodles

Pasta can definitely appear in my diet, mom! The most important thing is that its kind can accomodate my capabilities. If I'm just beginning my adventure with diet expansion, you can mash the pasta with a fork before giving it to me. If you use the BLW (Baby Led Weaning) method, serve it in the same form that you eat it. In the beginning choose macaroni or fusilli as it's going to be easier for me to deal with.

Avantages

Pasta, especially wholemeal one, contains fiber and microelements. Durum pasta contains large amounts of potassium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, copper, and manganese. Also, it contains valuable folic acid, B vitamins, and vitamin E. Lutein is also present in pasta. It protects from harmful effects of free radicals and contributes to proper eyesight. Egg noodles are more easily digestible due to a lower fiber content.

Buckwheat flakes, millet flakes, rice flakes

Oatmeal can be served as soon as you start expanding my diet, both raw (with yoghurt) and boiled (e.g. as porridge). It's important for the oatmeal to contain only one type of cereal and no unnecessary additives such as sugars or salt. Oatmeal is high in iron and to make it more easily absorbable add some vitamin C to it, particularly in the form of a fruit.

Oats are an excellent source of carbohydrates and fiber. They are rich in nutrients and contain more fat and protein than most grains. Half a cup of oats contains 20% of the DV (daily value) of iron and zinc, 11% of the DV of folic acid and 39% of the DV of vitamin B1.

À quel âge mon bébé peut-il commencer à manger du sarrasin non torréfié selon la méthode BLW?

yes yes

Roasted buckwheat, unroasted buckwheat

Buckwheat grains are difficult to blend and serve as mush. It's also difficult to add buckwheat to my menu using the BLW method due to the fact that you can't overcook buckwheat to create buckwheat balls. When I manage to swallow less comminuted food, you can add buckwheat to my diet at around 9 months old. It's best to give me unroasted, lighter buckwheat as it has a less pronounced taste than roasted buckwheat and it's easier to digest. Also, unroasted buckwheat doesn't lose valuable vitamins due to being heated up.

Avantages

Buckwheat is considered to be the most valuable of all groats. It is a valuable source of protein, fiber, vitamin B1, B2, PP, folic acid, but also phosphorus, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, fats, and starch. Buckwheat has a beneficial effect on the digestive system - it prevents constipation and facilitates digestion.
