Month 26 - How can you support development of the child in the 26th month?
You will support development of the child in the 26th month of its life if you:
- ensure it has contacts with other children (its peers and older);
- let it perform daily activities itself;
- let it make decisions about games to play or other activities (while ensuring its safety);
- will encourage it to name objects it sees;
- will organise games to train its balance (e.g., swinging, climbing up a ladder, walking along chosen edges);
- motivate your child through playing to undertake activities it previously failed;
- will talk a lot with your child;
- will teach your child songs;
- encourage it to compete (but without rivalry) through various forms of playing.
