The 28th month of life is the time when the majority of children already can:

• Understand simple commands and questions.
• Form simple sentences, although their length and complexity may vary.
• Tell simple stories.
• Express their needs and emotions with words.
• Jump on one leg, although it still may be clumsy.
• Draw complex shapes and lines.
• Recognise basic colours and shapes.
• Play with jigsaw puzzles.
• Make attempts at eating and drinking unassisted.
