Mommy, I'm like a carrot (26.7cm, 360 grams)
My movements become more rhythmic and coordinated - these are no longer chaotic jerks but purposeful actions. I can regularly suck my thumb, which strengthens jaw, tongue, and cheek muscles - all essential for future breastfeeding. The endocrine system matures significantly - pancreas produces insulin, thyroid produces thyroid hormones, and adrenals produce cortisol and adrenaline. Bone marrow takes over the main role in red blood cell production from the liver. My breathing movements become more regular, preparing respiratory muscles for life outside the womb.
Remember mom, every child develops at their own pace and has their unique timeline. If you have any doubts about my development in your belly, consult with a doctor.
