Mom, I'm like a cantaloupe melon (45cm, 2146 grams)

Lungs reach another important stage - they're almost ready for independent air breathing! The central nervous system is fully functional and can control all basic life functions. I produce increasing amounts of cortisol hormone, which plays a crucial role in final lung maturation and preparing the organism for life outside the womb. Fatty tissue comprises about 15% of my body mass, significantly improving my ability to maintain temperature. If I were born now, I probably wouldn't need respiratory support.

Remember mom, every child develops at their own pace and has their unique timeline. If you have any doubts about my development in your belly, consult with a doctor.
