We want your HiMommy pregnancy calendar to be accurate and easy to follow.

Where Do We Begin?

When you set up the app, you’ll be asked to provide one of two details:

  • the first day of your last menstrual period, or
  • your due date.

From this information, we establish Day 0:

  • If you entered the first day of your last period → that date becomes Day 0.
  • If you entered your due date → we count back 280 days (40 weeks) to determine Day 0.

How Do We Turn Days Into Weeks?

We start counting from Day 0.

To calculate weeks:

  • Divide the number of pregnancy days by 7.
  • The whole number tells you how many full weeks you’ve completed.
  • The remainder tells you which day of the new week you are in.

How Do We Define a Pregnancy Week?

A pregnancy week runs from the first day of a new week through the seventh day of that same week.

For example, if the app shows: Week 24 (23 weeks + 2 days), it means:

  • You’ve completed 23 full weeks,
  • You are currently in your 24th week,
  • And it’s the 2nd day of that week.

Example Calculation

If you’re 162 days pregnant:

  • 162 Ă· 7 = 23 full weeks
  • Remainder = 1 day

This means 23 weeks + 1 day, which corresponds to Week 24, Day 2.
